How we do it

We help businesses navigate the hiring process by bringing energy, simplicity and pace to executive search and talent advisory. Our data-led approach is transparent and honest.

Connecting quality candidates and brands to transform teams from within. Working with founders across the C-suite over the past decade, we have been retained to seek out and engage with the very top percentage of the market.

Knowing what outstanding looks like. We know which opportunities great people are driven towards and how to design the roles that are going to be both impactful and attractive. Educational background and previous experience are useful guides, but it’s the mission and values that are going to move that needle.

Our connections are impeccable. Founders and CEOs are continuously amazed by the people we are able to bring to the table for exploratory conversations. We don’t deliver standard talent. At The Search Group, we continue searching right up until the point of hire and question the fit at each stage of the process. Michelle Gjersoe

FOUNDER & CEO

Our founder Michelle Gjersoe was one of the first talent consultants to work extensively in-house with start-ups and scale-ups. Her expertise is the foundation on which The Search Group is built.  

Michelle is a champion of executive talent and hiring success within high-growth, product-led businesses. Working closely with the Board and C-Suite, Michelle focuses on disrupting existing industry standards to ensure that our team deliver outstanding talent, service and insight to transform businesses through aligned talent introductions. As a recognised Executive Coach, Michelle offers a unique coaching approach to both clients and candidates throughout the search process. Currently helping to transform some of today’s brightest start-ups and established high-growth businesses in Tech.

Jonathan is our specialist executive search Director, having spent 20 years in the industry working with startups to deliver enterprise solutions on a global scale. With a network that spans every industry and sector, Jonathan is a natural connector of high-net-worth leaders and spends much of his time, investing and advising in startups as well as, raising capital and making introductions of great commercial value for businesses, founders and CEOs alike.

Daley is a forever yogi and, courtesy of lockdown, a born again runner, chalking up 14 half marathons and the virtual London marathon in the second half of 2020.
